Personal Information
Dr Emanuel Svoboda Consultant Eye Surgeon and Eye Specialist retired in December 2022 after 23 years working in the Northern Rivers and Southern Gold Coast areas. He has an interest and particular experience in Cataract Surgery, Advanced Cataract Techniques and Anterior Segment Surgery, including Pterygium Surgery, Oculoplastic Surgery, Glaucoma Management as well as General Ophthalmology.
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and is one of the first in Australasia to have undertaken super-Specialist fellowship training in advanced cataract, and Excimer laser refractive techniques for myopia, astigmatism and hyperopia: including PRK and Lasik.
He is a foundation member of the Australasian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and has been active in the teaching of Ophthalmic trainees and the presentation of scientific research papers at major conferences.
